what clothes should we wear?

Clothing should be something your comfortable in. You can coordinate as a group if you like, or even coordinate with a colour from the rooms you are looking to hang the images in to produce a stunning bespoke piece perfectly fitted to your home. Avoid large logos on kids t shirts unless they are an absolute favorite as this could date an image in the future.

How long does a session last?

Allow an hour but for adults and older family groups sessions are normally about half an hour to 40 mins . with younger families we will work to the level of the youngest of the group, most kids have had enough after 20 mins to half an hour so i aim to have achieved our major images as early in the session as possible and allow time toward the end for more candid play shots, some children however need time to relax in a new environment so i always allow for that so theres no rush.

whats the best age to get my baby photographed?

you can photograph babies from birth , and brand new babies features like little hands and feet can make a fantastic montage to keep as a reminder of them as they change so quickly in the first few months. ask about session packs covering the first few years development

Should we bring a change of clothes?

Yes you can. Especially if its kids and babies were photographing as little accidents do happen just when we dont need them to! .It is nice for older kids to bring something they like rather than what you have asked them to wear , for example a football kit, skateboarding outfit or whatever sport or hobby they are realy into is always a bit of fun and an excellent bribe .And for adults , a change of top can be usefull.

can we bring special objects and toys?

Yes ive had skateboards, bikes , footballs, pogo sticks, and even space hoppers , it adds a whole extra dimension to the shoot and can make it extra speccial and personal, if you want to bring something that takes time to set up like a big drum kit thats fine but let me know before hand so i can make sure theres plenty of time allocated.

Do You Photograph Pets?

Yes you can bring them to the studio witht he family for a family portrait , or if thats not practical i can come to your home or even the stables and take images of you and your pet in your surroundings.

what happens after our session?

Everybody gets a secure password protected web page to look at their images in the comfort of their own home.The pages normally are available a few days after your shoot and stay on the web atleast a few weeks. I dont tend to do after shoot sales meetings like the high streets as i dont want to pressure any decissions, however if you need help i will come out to you and help you to decide in your home, but that is your decisiion to invite me.

can we order online?

Yes everythings set up so you can order the most popular sizes in frames or in print only , or even canvas wraps online and pay by cheque or paypal. If you want something not listed i will add it to your price list and you can then go ahead and order online ,or if its easier we can just do it the old fashioned way. The prints are usually availble in about 5 to 7 days, frames may take a little longer .

Are online albums password protected?

Yes every album is protected unlesss you have asked not to have a password, You can choose the password and tell me what you would like or stick to the standard ones you will be told when your images are ready for viewing. The password unlocks the album only from the computer you are viewing from and the album remains locked and secure to other people, You can give out your password to your family and friends if you like ,

Schools Photography FAQ

Will you cover our school or nursery?

Yes .As i do such a wide variety of photography i do need to keep the number of schools under controll so i can give the best service so if your school or nursery needs a lift in the photography department please ring me and let me know you are interested. If you are a parent and would like to recomend me to your school i would be happy to come in and visit with staff , show examples and explain the service i offer.

How much Does it cost?

NOTHING ITS FREE ! theres no charge for me to come to the school or nursery and i dont only limit it to one visit, some schools and some age groups of kids benefit from a more relaxed approach rather than the conveyorbelt offered by the big schools companies so if i need to come in 2 times to cover all your kids thats fine with me, i would much rather not rush the kids, get happier more relaxed feel and work with the nursery or school to fit into their schedule as this gets better results.

Do you pay commission? how much ?

YES a school or nursery can claim up to 20% commision on the pack photo sales.

Do you have CRB clearance?

Yes I have full enhanced disclosure CRB .

we want something differnet from traditional head shots , what can you do?

Lots of things i love a challenge and if you have any ideas im willing to work with you to try and achieve whatever plans you cna come up with ! Group composites full length poses, seated poses , modern white background studio style shots,modern head shots , staff in action shots, special leavers groups and lots more.

are we stuck with your choice of packages or can we design our own?

Nope you can structure things to suit you. im very flexible and can make things fit you in most cases, let me know what you need and want to achieve and i wil come up with some options for you.

Is there much admin for the school office and teachers?

NO , proofs are delivered in class groups back to the school . i then come back and collect orders and payments from the school and then return with the completed orders to the school again in class order to be handed out. and a lovely cheque for the commission follows. Easy

Weddings FAQ

Worried about a photographer faffing around taking ages and being bossy to the guests ?

I work quickly , I am never bossy or pushy and I work with you to your requirements, NO faffing around allowed !!

Want Fast well organised Group shots !! so your guests will have a good time and not be hanging around ?

I include a Free pre wedding meeting to discuss your requirements with all packages which then allows us to ensure the days photography runs smoothly and leaves you and your guests to relax and enjoy the day

Hate having your picture taken ?

Im not going to ask you to do anything your not comfortable with .I can adapt the way i work to fit with you ,You can specify anything you do or dont want to do when we meet up before the day (im not going to pose you all like fashion models ..unless you want me to !) my aim is to create a beautiful set of images that reflect you and your day for you to keep for the future .
